Monteith Musgrave is the newly coigned pen name of Ted Torgersen, an author banned since his youth. A few of the aspects of this story are autobiographical, but by and large it is pure speculative fiction, the modern jargon for the genre previously called science fiction. It takes you from modern day San Francisco to Long Island in 1898, where the maritime community is alive and well. This story can be taken as a lament for the current state of fisheries and maritime communities in the US and around the world.
