This publication titled, "Applied Anthropology" provides readers with an introduction to applied anthropology with focus on public, development, forensic, medical, urban and visual anthropology. The historical background and current theoretical trends of anthropology are described in detail. Also, the scope and development social anthropology is discussed in brief. Prof. Umesh Kumar, is currently the Head of Dept. of Sociology, S.S.V. College, Kahalgaon, a Constituent Unit of Tilka Manjhi Bhaghalpur University (TMBU). He possesses a long academic career and has been a prolific editor of social science books and journals. He regularly participates in national and international seminars, symposiums, workshops, round table discussions and training programmes.
