"Soul of the Sacred Earth is a compelling read."?Historical Novels Review.

Hopi maiden Morning Butterfly longs for the life that existed before Spanish soldiers and a priest arrived determined to seize sacred land and 'civilize' the peaceful tribe. Despite their different lifestyles, Morning Butterfly and the Navajo brave Cougar realize their survival depends on the two tribes working together. Despite the risk to his life, he'll defend her and his people. She touches him in ways he never imagined. To her shock, she feels the same way about him.

Morning Butterfly's beloved sister has become Captain Lopez de Leiva's unwilling mistress. Neither woman understands what drives the captain's determination to seek riches. They don't want to look beneath his hard surface to the man's conflicted heart.

Cougar feels the same way about Fray Angelico. Why can't the brown-clad zealot let Navajo and Hopi continue to believe and revere tradition as they always have?

Four vastly different cultures, two Native American tribes, Spanish explorers, and a Catholic priest clash in a complex battle for souls and sacred land.

Just like books need editing, so does a writer's bio, at least mine did. I apologize for the lengthy introduction I've forced on readers. I'm going to keep things short and simple.

Most important, I've given birth to approximately 150 books both as Vella Munn and under a sexy pen name. What I take great pride in are 12 Native American historicals. I hope you'll look for such titles as Soul of the Sacred Earth, Cheyenne Summer, Survivors Heart, and Daughter of the Forest.

No surprise, I've written MANY romances. In addition, I wrote three hard-hitting stories in what I call the Primal Justice series about what happens to animal abusers, two historical romances set in the gold town where my sister and I were raised, several Seasons Heartbeat stories linked by the seasons, and three that honor forest rangers.

As for the erotic romances--please look for Vonna Harper. They're all 'her' fault and prove she isn't as restrained as she looks.

On a personal level, I have two sons, two daughters-in-law, a grandson, and five grandchildren of my heart. I'm a widow who is a slave to a 'slightly' spoiled pit bull.

I put out a monthly newsletter that tells readers where to look for free books. I also gossip about the publishing world and beg for sympathy regarding my worn out back. You can sign up for the newsletter at my Vella-Munn website.

"Soul of the Sacred Earth is a compelling read."-Historical Novels Review.

Hopi maiden Morning Butterfly longs for the days of innocence before Spanish soldiers and a single-minded priest arrive determined to seize sacred land and 'civilize' its people. Despite their vastly different lifestyles, Morning Butterfly and the courageous Navajo brave Cougar realize their survival depends on the two tribes working in harmony to survive. In the looming destruction of the Hopi who are known as the Peaceful Ones, Cougar sees the fate of his own people, one he is desperate to avoid. Morning Butterfly touches him in ways he never imagined.

Morning Butterfly's fears are deeply personal. Her beloved sister has become Captain Lopez de Leiva's unwilling mistress. She doesn't understand what drives the captain's determination to seek riches and doesn't want to look beneath his hard surface to the man's conflicted heart. Cougar feels the same way about Fray Angelico. Why can't the brown-clad zealot let Navajo and Hopi continue to believe and revere tradition as they always have?
