Take an amorous Geordie, a hard-bitten veteran Scottish sergeant, an astral-travelling Welshman, an enigmatic Indian Hindu, a cynical religious Cockney medic, put them all under the command of an eccentric but brilliant archaeologist English female Lieutenant, send them on a crazy quest to America to find a strange but powerful artefact and what do you get? A bunch of comrades who amazingly blend into a formidable fighting group, laughing at danger and somehow muddling their way through peril after peril against all the odds.
